English Teacher – Full-Time Ongoing Opportunity in IP16

Teach Ltd is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to work full-time at a supportive secondary school within the IP16 area from September 2026.

This is an ongoing teaching opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to delivering engaging English lessons and supporting students to achieve their full academic potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons

• Teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Assessing and monitoring student progress

• Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies

• Supporting pupils with academic development and confidence in English

• Working collaboratively with the wider English department and school staff

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have recent experience teaching English within secondary schools

• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Be passionate about English and student achievement

• Be reliable, professional, and adaptable

• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
