General Cover Secondary Supply Teachers – Downham Market

Teach Ltd is currently recruiting strong and confident General Cover Secondary Supply Teachers to support a number of secondary school clients in Downham Market and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for adaptable and reliable teachers who are comfortable delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects while maintaining excellent classroom management and supporting positive learning environments.

This role is ideal for experienced secondary teachers, cover supervisors, ECTs, or educators seeking flexible work within local schools.

The Role

Responsibilities may include:

• Delivering pre-set lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Managing classroom behaviour confidently and effectively

• Ensuring students remain engaged and focused during lessons

• Following school behaviour, safeguarding, and attendance policies

• Providing lesson feedback to teaching staff

• Supporting pupils in maintaining positive attitudes to learning

• Adapting quickly to different school environments and classroom settings

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), equivalent teaching qualifications, or relevant secondary classroom experience

• Have experience working within secondary schools

• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Be flexible, professional, and dependable

• Have excellent communication and organisational abilities

• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
