Primary SEMH Teacher – Ely
We are looking for a resilient and passionate Primary SEMH Teacher to join a supportive setting in Ely. This role involves working with pupils who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them re-engage with education and develop positive behaviours for learning.
You will deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs, focusing on building trust, confidence, and emotional regulation. Working closely with support staff, external agencies, and families, you will play a key role in creating a safe and structured learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons across the primary curriculum
Support pupils with SEMH needs through consistent routines and behaviour strategies
Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet individual EHCP targets
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviour
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
