About the Role
Teach is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in Coltishall. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom
- Assist with learning activities, behaviour support, and emotional wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to meet individual learning goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages independence and engagement
- Promote progress and celebrate achievements, both academic and personal
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability in a classroom setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and take part in ongoing training and development
