About the Role

Teach is currently recruiting a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in Hertfordshire. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support children with a range of special educational needs, delivering tailored lessons that promote both academic progress and personal development.

This is a temporary position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Support emotional, social, and behavioural development alongside academic goals
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise outcomes

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working in an SEN setting (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs and effective teaching approaches
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to inclusion and helping every child reach their full potential
