SENCO – Part-Time Opportunity in NR13
Teach Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to support a welcoming school within the NR13 area on a part-time basis for the summer term.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified SENCO or experienced teacher with SEND leadership experience who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and driving inclusive practice across the school.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, external agencies, and parents to ensure pupils receive the support required to achieve their full potential.
The Role
Responsibilities may include:
• Leading and coordinating SEND provision across the school
• Supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities
• Managing and reviewing EHCPs and SEND support plans
• Liaising with parents, staff, and external professionals
• Supporting teachers with strategies and interventions
• Monitoring progress and ensuring appropriate provision is in place
• Promoting inclusive teaching and learning practices
• Ensuring SEND provision meets statutory requirements
The Ideal Candidate
Applicants should:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination or be working towards it where appropriate
• Have previous SEND leadership or SENCO experience
• Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
• Be committed to inclusion and supporting pupil wellbeing
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
