SEND Teaching Assistant Cromer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a welcoming educational setting in Cromer, Norfolk.

This is a temporary role with an immediate start available.

Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Location: Cromer, Norfolk

Contract Type: Temporary

Hours: Term-time only (full-time/part-time hours available depending on school requirements)

Pay: Competitive rates of pay (dependent on experience)

Role Overview

You will be working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of additional needs, which may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties. Duties will include:

Providing 1:1 and small group support

Assisting pupils to access the curriculum

Supporting positive behaviour strategies

Helping to implement EHCP targets

Encouraging engagement, independence, and confidence in learning

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based or transferable care/support experience preferred)

Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND)

A calm, patient and adaptable approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
