Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Opportunity in NR13

Teach Ltd is currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary/secondary school within the NR13 area on a full-time basis for the summer term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant classroom support experience who is passionate about helping pupils reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and support staff to provide high-quality learning support across the classroom and in small groups or one-to-one settings.

The Role

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with learning activities across the classroom

• Providing one-to-one and small group interventions

• Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery

• Supporting pupils with additional needs where required

• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning

• Helping to maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment

• Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

• Carrying out general classroom and administrative support tasks

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should:

• Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a classroom support role

• Be confident supporting pupils across different abilities

• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

• Be able to work effectively as part of a team

• Be flexible, reliable, and professional

• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child development

• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
