Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Summer Term Opportunity in Great Yarmouth
Teach Ltd is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming school in Great Yarmouth on a full-time basis for the summer term.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant school-based support experience who is passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and development.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and support staff to provide effective classroom support across a range of subjects and age groups.
The Role
Responsibilities may include:
• Supporting pupils in the classroom with learning activities
• Providing one-to-one and small group support where required
• Assisting the class teacher with preparation and delivery of lessons
• Supporting pupils with additional needs and differentiated learning
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Carrying out general classroom support duties as required
The Ideal Candidate
Applicants should:
• Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a school support role
• Be confident supporting pupils of varying abilities
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Be reliable, professional, and flexible
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
