SEND Teaching Assistant – Bury St Edmunds

Teach Ltd is currently recruiting caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to support schools and SEND provisions in the Bury St Edmunds area on a supply basis.

The role will involve supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. Depending on the requirements of the provision, you may work within small groups or provide 1:1 support to individual pupils.

You will work alongside teachers and other members of staff to help pupils access their learning, develop confidence and engage positively with school activities. The role may also involve supporting classroom activities, encouraging positive behaviour and helping to maintain a calm and supportive learning environment.

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND would be beneficial. Experience in education, care, youth work or other support-based roles may also be considered.

We are looking for individuals who are patient, reliable and adaptable, with good communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting children and young people.

This is a temporary supply position, with assignments offered subject to the needs of the school or provision and your availability. Opportunities may include day-to-day supply work and longer-term temporary assignments.
