Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Opportunity in Swaffham

Teach Ltd is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming school in Swaffham on a full-time basis, working 5 days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant school-based support experience who is passionate about supporting pupils in their learning and development.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide high-quality support across the classroom, small groups, and one-to-one interventions where required.

The Role

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with learning activities across the classroom

• Providing one-to-one and small group intervention support

• Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery

• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required

• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning

• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

• Carrying out general classroom support and administrative tasks

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should:

• Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a school support role

• Be confident supporting pupils across a range of abilities

• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

• Be reliable, flexible, and professional

• Work effectively as part of a team within a school environment

• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child welfare

• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
