Year 2 Teacher – Part-Time Opportunity in NR14
Teach Ltd is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the NR14 area on a part-time basis (Wednesday to Friday), starting after the May half term and continuing through to the end of the summer term.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified primary teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 1 education and delivering engaging, supportive learning experiences for young learners.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 2 class, working closely with school staff to ensure continuity of learning and positive pupil outcomes across the final term of the academic year.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering engaging Year 2 lessons across the curriculum
• Teaching Key Stage 1 pupils in line with the national curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Supporting pupils’ phonics, literacy, numeracy, and foundation skills
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff
• Ensuring continuity of learning across a part-time weekly schedule
The Ideal Candidate
Applicants should:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be confident planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Be reliable, flexible, and professional
• Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
