Calling all teachers! We're here to offer some effective study strategies and tips to help your students make the most of their learning, whether they’re preparing for SATs or organizing for GCSEs.

Create the Right Environment: For younger students, distractions from tech devices, books, or other items around the home can be challenging. Setting up a focused study area with bright natural light can help them concentrate. Providing essential stationery, revision books, and putting up revision posters can create an educational and familiar space that supports their focus.

Stay Consistent: A revision schedule can be a lifesaver. Spread out subjects across different days to prevent fatigue or burnout and avoid overloading one subject at a time. Shorter, varied study sessions can help keep students engaged without boredom setting in.

Use Flashcards: Flashcards are fantastic for organising questions and answers in a simple, interactive way. Encourage students to make flashcards for topics they find challenging, writing questions on one side and answers on the back. They can quiz themselves, friends, or family members, reinforcing the information through repetition.

Prioritise Good Sleep: Getting consistent rest is vital, especially leading up to exams. If students are sleep-deprived, they may struggle to retain new information. Remind them to follow a sleep schedule and avoid devices before bed to ensure a solid night’s rest.

Share these helpful tips with your students to make revision smoother for SATs or GCSEs. Creating an effective study plan can add some positivity and encouragement to their hard work! Enable some positivity with the students and provide encouragement to ensure they feel supported and are getting the very best out of their learning.
